My work is an extension of my desire to insert care into my life. I make installations discussing site specificity, shared experience, and how these concepts can be rearticulated in repetition and color. I create work by examining local sites to draw from their aesthetic and infrastructural attributes. My focus on rule baring objects reflects the precariousness of navigating obstacles in politics, task, or leisure today. I aim to pay homage to these sites and open up the option to recognize them as intimate. This work calls attention to how a relationship with a space can be reframed through close examination.

I utilize the process of casting concrete to reference historical labor practices while still pushing up against contemporary sexist microaggressions. Most recently I have been casting concrete on-site to explore my infatuation with site specificity and to learn about the notion of sincerity that a physical space can embody.
